Hey so remember when I said I wasn't going to take a picture of my Master and Doctor action figures in an interesting position? Here's the picture I didn't take, plus a few others, including me omg. You can see my face! And my hair! I rather like my hair. I'm very proud of it.
I actually had to move these guys to a different place (they were on my dresser, which does not get very good light), so this is not their normal habitat, but they seem to have settled into it well. You cannot see the Master's face because it is scary. The Doctor just looks pretty bored, though. Just another day. Rose and Martha are a little perturbed by all this, but Cassandra (who came packaged with Rose) seems intrigued by the whole thing. Giant pieces of skin take their fun where they can, I suppose. Meanwhile, Delirium does not really care, because she has found her fish. This hangs on my window, because one day I got sick and tired of the gloom seeping in through the nasty gray sky and I stuck it up there to block it out. It sort of worked, so I kept it there. I got the thing at WorldCon a few years back, where, in fact, there was a life-sized TARDIS and Dalek, but I didn't really care about it so much, what with never having seen the show. Oh, what I would give for a time machine. (There was also a fair bit of impressive HHGTTG props and costumes from the miniseries and movie, and I did get pictures of those. Somewhere.) One of my walls, bearing 1) an Ursula Vernon print entitled, appropriately, "Pearaphim", 2) my Heroes calendar, currently on Bennet month, and 3) an old Girl Genius poster, acquired from god knows where. Probably a convention. IS ME. In the bathroom, because that way I could look in the mirror to get a rough guess of what the picture would look like. I have glasses! I bet you didn't know that. Although I'm pretty sure at least one of you did. Didn't know about the haircut, though, nyah! Right. Homework. Notes on the foreign policy of North Korea. Can I just put "N/A" and get away with it? Probably not.

It's the first time I've ever used product. *pets it* Used to be very, very long, but oh, I learned the error of my ways. Short hair is awesome.

It really, really is. Naturally-orange-hair-in-odd-lighting-but-passable-as-brunette FTW!

Oh hair, how you are too short to be long and too long to be short. Grow or something.

You're cute, and the action figures amuse the hell out of me. Mind you, the boys are examplaries of likeness when compared to the Rose figure, who doesn't look like Rose at all, or the Delirium figure (oh Del!).

One can never expect action figures to look even remotely like the characters they depict; the best one can hope for is for them to look at least vaguely human, and Rose has that going for her, at least. (The Master, not so much.) And I like the Delirium figure! She may be a bit...older, than she is in the comics, but she's still not exactly cleavage-tastic, and she's definitely in the right style.

*g* And I didn't even take pictures of the X2, LotR, Hellboy, Sin City, Sluggy Freelance, and Sky Captain posters! Or the bookshelves, or the comics nook...the presence of fannish people simply makes a room absorb some of our tendencies.

Adorable! Both the little guys and you. Gosh, I wish I had such awesome loot. All I've got is a secretly-hoarded drawing of Lust (from FMA) at the beach. *iz jealous of loot and the cuteness that is you*
ya know, some people have all the luck...

OMG, I LOVE YOUR HAIR! It's all curly and awesome. My hair is resistant to curling, not matter what I try all I get are those beachy waves that end up looking like a mild case of bedhead. *g*

*g* You know, everyone keeps telling me how lucky I am to have my hair, but I always just think, well, I've had it all my life, I'm kind of used to it. (Admittedly, I like it a lot more now that it's short. It's not nearly as cool when it's all the way down to my waist.)

... is it strange that I knew you had glasses (and even curly hair, though not that it would be that short--or *that* curly), but not that you're a redhead? Then again, the next-most-recent picture I've seen of you is my acidification of a picture of you from... I'm not sure how many years ago. So I suppose it's natural that I would remember you in unnatural colors. ;)
It's a very striking look you have there. It works for you.

Bwah! I'm not a redhead, it's just the lighting. *g* Brunette all the way.

Ahh... so this would be more accurate?
Also: Are your eyes different colors? One looks green, and the other looks blue-green.
Reply | Parent | Thread | Link
Nah, both my eyes are blue-green. It's the lighting, again. And I suppose that picture does look a bit more accurate.

Your hair is AWESOME. And I totally knew you had glasses for some reason. Because I'm psychic! Or maybe because you mentioned it previously.
And while I love the idea of a Delirium action figure, I'm still reeling at the idea that there's one of the bitchy trampoline...

Well, they've got most of the villains/monsters--Slitheen, the Weeping Angels, Daleks and Cybermen, etcetera...I suppose it only makes sense. Have to use up the rest of the plastic somehow.

Knew about the glasses; din't know about the hair.

Oh, I'm sure the Doctor can hold his own in such situations...so to speak. *coughs* (Man, I didn't even intend that one.)
We do indeed live on a lake, and yeah, it's pretty awesome :D It's not a banner, though--it's a towel, naturally. ;)
And I like having short hair! It is awesome to a ridiculous degree. I cam comb it in thirty seconds.

i have to say, that is some of the most awesome short hair i have seen in a long time. Which means a lot coming from a long hair fanatic like myself. *nods*

I'm pretty sure I knew you had glasses by this point. Notsure. I had to draw you once, at one point, and I think you told me then.
Atanyrate, I'll post an actual 'squee' comment later. Right now I'm just posting to tell you that I'm on my like...fourth listening of "I Can't Decide" in a row, and it doesn't seem like I'm going to stop anytime soon because ohmygod, this song is so addicting.
Soyeah. *blames you for that*

It is pretty much the greatest song ever, isn't it? I got it off a Mylar soundtrack originally, but once I heard it on Doctor Who, I immediately started associating it with the Master, and my god, it's perfect for that. It's, like, his theme song.

Firstly, nice hair! Nice eyeglass frames, too, for that matter.
Secondly, I applaud your creative use of action figures. Reminds me of the time I posed my Reservoir Dogs figures in entertaining and slightly compromising positions.

I think the entire point of having action figures is to put them in compromising positions. Why else would you buy such shoddily-faced things?

Your hair = made of win! (We redheads must stick together).
Your naughty figurine shenanigans are also made of win, but you didn't do that and I'm not looking.
Your homework: sadly probably more complicated than writing N/A, which is a shame, because frankly, I'm with you.

I am not actually a redhead, and do not understand why people seem to think I am! It's just the lighting--people tell me my hair looks reddish sometimes, but I've always thought it was just brown...
The North Korea situation apparently requires a truly frightening amount of research. *curls into ball* I could have chosen an easier topic, I could have chosen an easier topic...

My DA photo? That one's years old--and it was outdated two days after it was taken; that was only a temporary hair-straightening, to see how it looked. I like curls better, though straight certainly has its benefits.
They seem to sell models of nearly all the villains! Daleks, Cybermen, Slitheen, Weeping Angels, Evolved!Dalek, Judoon...
