The things you find when you wander around IMDB! (I swear, I can't even remember what I was looking up in the first place...) Apparently, That One Character from Doctor Who 4x06 isn't just Peter Davison's daughter--you see, he's married to Sandra Dickinson, who...played Trillian in the original HHGttG miniseries. Good god, man, that girl's got pedigree

Since everyone and their mother is talking about how Steven Moffat is taking over as executive producer for Doctor Who in the fifth season, I might as well share my limited, meandering, inconclusive thoughts on the issue: hey, I really, really liked The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances and Blink (my thoughts on The Girl in the Fireplace have changed a bit over time, but I can at least say that it had rather a lot of good bits, and hey, it turns out she wasn't the first woman-from-the-past to fall in love with the guy; clearly she cannot be blamed for it, as there is a precedent), and, having just watched The Curse of Fatal Death, I can definitely say he's got the fanboy chops to do it, so why not. Also, even if we're losing All Gay All The Time RTD, Steven Moffat was the guy who invented Captain Jack, so there really is not going to be any trouble on that front.

(On the subject, as it has been mentioned elsewhere, of Steven Moffat perhaps wanting to make That One Character a companion--sure, she's cool and all, but there's a reason the show only started when the Doctor picked up Ian and Barbara, y'all. Ya gotta have a human in there. Or Romana. But I think Romana was probably just an exception all-around.)

Hey so remember when I said I wasn't going to take a picture of my Master and Doctor action figures in an interesting position? Here's the picture I didn't take, plus a few others, including me omg. You can see my face! And my hair! I rather like my hair. I'm very proud of it.

Anyway. )

Right. Homework. Notes on the foreign policy of North Korea. Can I just put "N/A" and get away with it? Probably not.

TOO MUCH YULETIDE

CANNOT READ ALL OF IT

Seriously, there's--there's an alarming number of Hot Fuzz stories and Live Free or Die Hard and Stardust and Rome and Reaper and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Studio 60 and Temeraire and way too much fucking Ocean's 11 and HHG and even some Profit and I'm kind of really glad I don't think I've seen enough of either show to read the ones for Entourage and Deadwood, because I do not need more. I have at least managed to condense it for easy browsing (yaaaaay, Yuletide Browser, have my babies plz) and gotten through Pan's Labyrinth (only two, but both quite awesome), Chuck (several, most of which were good, if I recall correctly), Blades of Glory (shut up), a little bit of Entourage, a larger bit of Hot Fuzz, Mirrormask (again, only two, but quite good), one of the Cthulhu Mythos stories (!) and both of the Incredibles drabbles--one of which, okay, I'm going to have to just link to you right now, because it's short and it's amazing: Fabulous. Christ almighty, why is there always too much to read? It's almost as bad as the list of stuff I have to watch! Gnarr. Gnarr.

(Also, the Hot Fuzz stories are basically the most adorable things ever. Which isn't surprising, really.)
